| So because phats are just a wee bit expensive  How do you make em? This is coming from a guy who is terrible at this stuff, so in simple directions if you could tell me how to, that would be great! Thanks guys  |

| Okay easy  Use this pattern below and adjust it to your measurements.  Simplest way is to measure a pair of pants that fit well and copy the measurements, onto a layout of the pattern. The layout can be thick paper, light card or something similar to cut out a pattern. Use cheap material, just an old cotton sheet or curtain, to practice cutting out the pattern and sewing it together. It's all sewn inside out. So practice on cheap old material a few times to get a fit that you like THEN make a real pair using denim or heavier cotton etc  |

| Usually cotton blend, the weight depends on your climate. But a material that can breathe when you shuffle, otherwise you get really sweaty.
The leg at the bottom the 'cuff' is between 60-80 cms around. So lying flat with front and back sides, that's about 30-60 cms.
You change the size of the cuff to adjust the phats shape to your height. You make the cuff smaller if your legs are shorter, so the shape stays much the same, even though the measurements differ. |

| that's the hardest part, I used the suspenders with my overalls, but for a waist area it'll depend on how your bones structure is around your hips and how much weight you have around the waist. Guys will typically have more weight and thinner hips compared to girls, so personal fit comes into play mostly.
How have others handled it ? |
